This past week was filled with graduation festivities.
These two graduated from grade 6!
They are off to a new school next year – Middle School – for grade 7 and 8 – and they are super excited.
The school held a dance for them that they both thought would be pretty lame. But they ended up having a great time!
Then they had the “ceremony”, which all the parents attended too.
The actual graduation was followed up with a little party at one of the student’s home.
There are two streams in this school: English and French.
Zach is in the French stream, and Zandra is in the English. So while they are in the same grade, in the same school, they don’t cross over too much. However, the person who hosted the “French” party invited EVERYONE in the French stream. The person who hosted the “English” party, invited only some of the people – which you can imagine caused some hurt feelings (and drama).
After many hurt feelings, Zandra ended up going to the “French” stream party with Zach and his friends. They both came home filled with stories, and excitement and had an awesome time together. I am so glad that they will be sharing so much of life together. These two are going to be the two that keeps our family gatherings going when I’m long and gone, I’m sure of it.
So proud of them both. Congrats guys!!!
Fantastic pictures of my two graduates!!!! So so proud of them and they both looked gloriously handsome and beautiful. On to the next chapter in their lives. Enjoy the journey!!

Congratulations to your graduates! It’s nice they have each other to go through middle school with–it can be a rough time during a kid’s life.
Congratulations!! Our school doesn’t do a graduation – although our 6th graders did have a send off day which was kind of like a field day. We did have an 8th grade graduation too this week – it made me smile to look at your pictures. It’s really nice they have each other! I love that book! Onto new beginnings at high school!
GRR! I know some people have limited space, but I dislike it when people are exclusive. I’m glad Zach and his friends came to Zandra’s rescue.
Congratulations and wishing them both great success in middle school!
aww..these were beautiful pics! Was glad so see them as we have been soooo out of touch so nice to see what you guys have been up to. Pls tell Zandra I LOVE her dress it is simply gorgeous on her.
And Zach so handsome and grown up-everyday he looks more and more like your brother!
Yes I get the end of year girl drama…we had a girl in tears for 12 hrs as the bell rang (and she lives with us). She caused some hurt for a very good friend and was dealing with that. Not an easy thing to be in grade 5/6. Glad Zandra ended up having a great evening.
Sounds all wonderful.
Bye!

Oh, CONGRATULATIONS to them for making the jump to middle school. How exciting!! They are adorable and I love that they had pictures of them projected during the ceremony. What a special touch!! I hope they both love middle school! 🙂 –Lisa
They are so adorable! Many congrats to them and to you! And yes, about the parties, it’s such a shame about those hurt feelings. I hope it didn’t damper the special occasion. A day like that deserves to be a happy one.
Aww..they are so adorable and proud! And Zandra has a great dress.
So many graduations this time of year. Really every graduation from a grade is a big year, even if we only mark some of them.
Congratulations to the two of them!! Exciting times ahead 🙂
Great photos. And that book is the perfect gift for graduation. Best of luck to them in middle school!
