In our area, you go to elementary school from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6. Then you go to Middle School for Grades 7 and 8. Finally, you head to high school for Grades 9 -12.
When you leave each school, there is a graduation. This year, Josh finished grade 6 and then Zach and Zandra finished grade 8, so it has been a busy week!
I can’t believe that we are at this stage of life already. Honestly. I just want to freeze these moments. Freeze time. Make them stop growing! Zach is so proud he is taller than me now. At his grade 6 grad two years ago, he was the same height as Josh compared to me – but now? He’s inching up there!
It was so fun to watch the kids get dressed up and then head out to parties… here’s what it all looked like (and btw, I have a few white dresses – even though they both look the same in the photos – they are different:))
Picture overload I know… but if I can’t freeze time, I need to capture it in photos that help me remember the little details:)
Josh’s was first (he is such a bow tie guy!)
Hmm Zach… what were you doing….
Oh child, I love you, but you can drive me crazy. A good crazy though:)
They took off very quickly to head to the party. I barely got any pictures!!!
We thought he would appreciate a burger cake to celebrate!
Then came Zach and Zandra’s:
i guess it’s a girl thing in our house – squeezing the cheeks…
I can’t explain his face either, but we had a good chuckle at him…
Best friends since grade 3
I had to stop taking pictures as they both got annoyed:))
Love these guys sooooo much and so proud of them!!
Aw, huge congrats to the kids and loved seeing all the pics here. And I love that you gifted Josh, “Oh the Places You’ll Go,” by Dr. Seuss. Absolutely perfect gift for graduation 😉

The pictures are so great! It makes me a little sad.. to see how painfully fast they grow. Happy too.
We had a similar thing. I left my K-5th grade school and had 6th grade in a separate school. Then I graduated that and went to middle school for two years, and then graduated that.
Then I graduated high school after grades 9 -12.
Then college after grades 13- 16!
Just kidding about that last part. I did graduate college, though!
