“What you feed, grows.”
Such a simple quote. But pretty profound.
Do you sometimes get surprised with the result that you get? I know I do.
I see my children do.
I remember having a conversation with one of my kids who was surprised at a direction life was heading and I remember saying: what are you surprised by? You bought the ticket to that destination. If you wanted a different destination, you needed to buy a different ticket.
If you want to grow “something”, you need to water and nourish that “something”.
You can’t be busy watering and nourishing something else and be surprised when THAT grows.
I have two little boys left at home.
I know. Not so little.
15 and 17.5.
But today we talked with them about where they invest their time, their energy, their efforts. It does make a difference.
I’m not sure they got it. Or really cared, to be honest.
But I know they will figure it out.
Because it is inevitable.
What you feed, grows.
