“On the seventh day of Christmas my Saviour gave to me” :
PEACE
John 14:27″aPeace I leave with you, my bpeace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be ctroubled, neither let it be afraid.”
A great quote I wanted to share:
“Our hope is to capture the true spirit of Christmas for ourselves and for those we love. That spirit is characterized by peace. … The peace of Christmas is ‘the peace of God, which passeth all understanding’ [Philippians 4:7]. It is the peace that the Apostle Paul promised would ‘keep [our] hearts and minds through Christ Jesus’ [Philippians 4:7]. And Paul was right. That peace we seek is only through and because of Jesus Christ.”

The most glorious Christmas announcement:
Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
I remember as a young girl, our ward would do a live, outdoor, nativity. I was Mary one year – and literally rode a live Donkey! There was a live audio that told the Christmas story and right at the end the narrator’s voice boomed with Isaiah 9:6. I loved it. It was so powerful. It was my favourite part of the nativity. I loved all His titles. I loved knowing that he was the Prince of Peace.
And finally, my 3 scriptures:
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
I love all scriptures that refer to peace as I think it is one emotion/state of mind and of being that makes me feel the closest to Christ.
Zandra‘s 3 scriptures:
Mark 9:50: Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
Psalms 29:11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
When we have peace within ourselves and with others, we can create more happiness and love in our lives. We need to have peace even when it’s hard. It gets us through.
